Site Waste Management Plans

Compass offers a range of courses to help companies prepare and deliver site waste management plans.

Option 1 – SWMP Awareness Session

Our half-day core programme will answer a number of questions, including:-

*         What is a SWMP?

*         Why do we need them & how will they add value?

*         What do they mean in practice?

*         Where can we get more help?

Delegates will gain an extensive awareness and appreciation of the requirements, potential benefits and practical challenges associated with SWMPs. As a result they will be better equipped to start preparing and delivering against site waste management plans.

This half day program can be delivered in-house for any organisation wanting to train its own staff or supply chain. No previous environmental training is required.

The cost for this option is £985 +VAT for up to 25 delegates

Option 2 - Introduction to SWMP Workshop

This practical, full day, workshop includes and expands upon the material covered in the half day session (Option 1 above). The Workshop is tailored to the organisation’s specific needs and, in addition to the content of Option 1, incorporates:

*         Practical exercises in developing and using a SWMP

*         Review and inclusion of existing company procedures, protocols, and tools

Delegates will leave with an extensive awareness and increased appreciation of the practical application of SWMPs within the organisation. Through the inclusion of practice scenario material delegates learn how to prepare and deliver SWMPs and can be more confident in making a start on them.

The cost for this option is £1,275 +VAT for up to 16 delegates

Option 3 - SWMP in Practice Workshop

This two day programme further expands upon the material covered in Option 2 (above) by including a live real-time ‘mini-site audit’ of waste activities and the full development of a basic working SWMP for one of your sites.

Day One is a half-day awareness session and briefing, followed by a half-day on-site audit of one of your sites, with Day Two being the preparation of the actual SWMP for that site and a review of the approach so you are fully trained to roll this out to your operations.

Delegates leave with not just the knowledge of how to do this, but also with your first SWMP as a working draft to progress to the full SWMP for that site and a template for your company.  As part of this Level the Compass  team will review your final SWMP via email.

The cost for this option is £1,750 +VAT for up to 16 delegates
